  29.             specify which protocol to use to obtain network
  30.             configuration parameters.  This value can be set to
  31.             dhcp, bootp1533, or none (to disable use of dhcp).  In
  32.             RoboInst 1.0, a dhcp request was always issued.

  34.           +o RoboInst 1.1 will no longer attempt to obtain a DHCP
  35.             IP-address lease by default.  This functionality can
  36.             still be obtained by using the -N option if desired.

  39.           +o RoboInst 1.1 has a new -_s command-line option to
  40.             specify which remote shell program to use to execute
  41.             commands on the client machine.  The default shell is
  42.             rsh.

  46.             email.  Unless this option is specified, roboinst will
  47.             now discard all at-job output.

  82.             The appropriate patches must be installed on the client
  83.             systems, otherwise the IRIX 6.2/6.3/6.4 kernels will
  84.             not be able to mount filesystems created by RoboInst.
  85.             This will normally prevent the system from booting up.

  91.             The IRIX 6.5 sash must also be installed in the volume
  92.             header.  This can be accomplished by installing the
  93.             roboinst.sw.client subsystem while in the miniroot.
  94.             Note in particular that other software packages
  95.             (eoe.sw.base, for example, and certain patches) might
  96.             also install a sash that does not understand the newer
  97.             filesystems created by RoboInst, and therefore will
  98.             prevent the system from booting.  To avoid this
  99.             problem, make sure to install roboinst.sw.client as the
  100.             final iiiinnnnsssstttt operation in the miniroot.

  102.             Note that the IRIX 6.5.2 miniroot is used for
  103.             installations of these older operating systems.  For
  104.             6.2 installs, do not use the inst ooooppppeeeennnn command in your
  105.             mrconfig file, as it sometimes can cause exitop errors.
  106.             IRIX 6.2 software distributions were not originally
  107.             intended to be used with the inst ooooppppeeeennnn command.  To
  108.             avoid this problem, install from one CD or network
  109.             distribution at a time using only the inst ffffrrrroooommmm
  110.             command.  Use the inst commands hhhheeeellllpppp ffffrrrroooommmm and hhhheeeellllpppp ooooppppeeeennnn
  111.             for more information.

  113.             Finally, remember that most patches are recommended for
  114.             installation in multi-user mode using Software Manager
  115.             or inst.  Therefore, it is recommended that only the
  116.             necessary XFS patches described above be installed from
  117.             the miniroot, and that other patches or patchsets (if
  118.             any) be installed according to their individual
  119.             installation instructions (usually from IRIX multi-user
  120.             mode using Software Manager or inst.)
